Ventro-Lateral Abdominal Hernia in Sheep and its Surgical Correction Techniques - A Case Report by Haben Fesseha in Open Access Journal of Biomedical Science An Ewe of eighteen-month-old and weighing 37kg was presented to Mekelle University Veterinary Teaching Hospital Mekelle, Ethiopia with a swelling in the right ventrolateral abdominal wall for the last two weeks. Clinical examination reveals dull, depressed, reduced appetite and weakness and confirmed right-sided ventrolateral abdominal hernia for the last two weeks. The case was handled surgically by means of herniorrhaphy using overlapping mattress suture techniques and synthetic absorbable polyglycolic acid. The ewe was completely recovered on the 20th day postoperatively. Successful management of ventrolateral hernia in ewe is discussed. https://biomedscis.com/fulltext/ventro-lateral-abdominal-hernia-in-sheep-and-its-surgical-correction-techniques-a-case-report.ID.000165.php To Know More About Open Access Journal of Biomedical ...

COVID-19: Special Precautions in Dentistry: OAJBS Publishers

COVID-19: Special Precautions in Dentistry by Adel Bouguezzi in Open Access Journal of Biomedical Science     A novel coronavirus (COVID-19) is associated with human-to-human transmission. Due to the unique nature of dentistry, most dental procedures generate significant amounts of droplets and aerosols, posing potential risks of infection transmission, the routes of transmission are direct contact, and droplet and possible aerosol transmissions. The aim of this article is to provide specific recommendations for dental practice and patient management protocol. https://biomedscis.com/fulltext/covid-19-special-precautions-in-dentistry.ID.000164.php To Know More About Open Access Journal of Biomedical Science Please Visit: Biomedscis Are Click On:   https://Biomedscis.Com/

Extra Cardiac Manifestation of Right Atrial MyxomaAscites A Rare Case: OAJBS Publishers

Extra Cardiac Manifestation of Right Atrial MyxomaAscites A Rare Case by Zubin S in Open Access Journal of Biomedical Science Right atrial myxoma is less commonly seen in our day to day clinical practice. Usually the most common site of myxoma is the left atrium. Ascites is a rarest clinical presentation of such myxoma. Many times, clinician is unable to diagnosis the cause of transudative ascitic fluid. One has to be highly suspicious arrive at the correct diagnosis of right atrial myxoma giving rise to ascites (transudative) in such situation. https://biomedscis.com/fulltext/extra-cardiac-manifestation-of-right-atrial-myxoma-ascites-a-rare-case.ID.000163.php To Know More About Open Access Journal of Biomedical Science Please Visit: Biomedscis Are Click On:   https://Biomedscis.Com/

Capillary (CE) and Cellulose Acetate (CAE) Electrophoresis of Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) Precipitated Serum proteins in Patients with subclinical hypothyroidism (SCHT): OAJBS Publishers

Capillary (CE) and Cellulose Acetate (CAE) Electrophoresis of Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) Precipitated Serum proteins in Patients with subclinical hypothyroidism (SCHT) by Scaglia Hugo in Open Access Journal of Biomedical Science   In patients with SCHT, TSH levels are increased with normal thyroid hormone values with or without the presence of antithyroid antibodies. In these cases, demonstration of a TSH without biological activity would avoid treatment. This characteristic of TSH could be due, among other causes, to the binding to an autoantibody (BIGBIG TSH). PEG has been used to precipitate Gamma (γ) Globulin. The objective of this study is to evaluate, in patients with SCHT, the https://biomedscis.com/fulltext/capillary-ce-and-cellulose-acetate-cae-electrophoresis-of-polyethylene-glycol-peg-precipitated-serum.ID.000162.php To Know More About Open Access Journal of Biomedical Science Please Visit: Biomedscis Are Click On:   https://Biomedscis.Com/

Different Types of Surface Modification used for Improving the Adhesion and Interactions of Skin Cells: OAJBS Publishers

Image
Different Types of Surface Modification used for Improving the Adhesion and Interactions of Skin Cells by Anna Sobiepanek in Open Access Journal of Biomedical Science Mammalian cells in the traditional 2D culture lack the complexity of 3D tissue architecture as well as the cell-cell or cell-extracellular matrix (ECM) interactions, which are present in the body. Still they are one of the most accessible and popular models used in biomedical research. Simultaneously, the understanding of various cell interactions in the body brings a valuable source of knowledge for the continuous improvement of several research areas including new biocompatible materials, tissue regeneration attempts, devices of the Lab-on-a-Chip type or cell-based biosensors for different applications. In order to meet the needs of cell culture improvement and a better understanding of the physiological cell interactions, within years different cellular surface modifications with biomolecules or chemicals have been int...

Food Consumption Trends and Associated Factors in an Agricultural Community in Morocco by Belahsen Rekia in Open Access Journal of Biomedical Science Introduction: Morocco is currently experiencing a change in dietary habits, in particular that related to food preparation methods and eating location. The objective of this research was to study the factors associated with food consumption trends in an agricultural community from the province of El Jadida in Morocco. https://biomedscis.com/fulltext/food-consumption-trends-and-associated-factors-in-an-agricultural-community-in-morocco.ID.000160.php To Know More About Open Access Journal of Biomedical Science Please Visit: Biomedscis Are Click On:   https://Biomedscis.Com/

The Extraction of DAM Enhance Antioxidant Capacity of Mice In-vivo: OAJBS Publishers

Image
The Extraction of DAM Enhance Antioxidant Capacity of Mice In-vivo by Jingxue Wang in Open Access Journal of Biomedical Science A mixture of functional complex extraction from Dendrobium Candidum and other Chinese herbs enhances. Plant polysaccharides are one of the most bioactive substances present in plants. Due to the broad-spectrum therapeutic properties and biosafety, natural polysaccharides isolated from plants have recently been attracted attention by more and more researcher. The present study was designed to investigate the possible anti-aging and intestinal flora effect of Dendrobium Candidum and Astragalus mongholicus (DAM) on the aging model mouse. In the experiment, 48 aging female Institute of Cancer Research mice (ICR mice) were randomly divided into the control group and low-mediumhigh dose groups (200,400,800 mg/kg/day). The results showed that gradually recovered the body weight, the activity of daily living, and organ indices of mice. To be specific, DAM obviously im...
