Biomechanical Evaluation of Short Implants for Prostheses: Review Article: OAJBS Publishers

Image
Biomechanical Evaluation of Short Implants for Prostheses: Review Article by Delal Bozyel* in Open Access Journal of Biomedical Science (OAJBS) Short implants are a successful alternative for patients who require adjunctive therapy, such as bone graft, before longer implants are placed. This also provides the advantages that the treatment is less invasive, more cost effective, and less tiring for the patient. Short implants can expand the limits of current implant treatments. This review aims to biomechanically prosthetically examine short implants. https://biomedscis.com/fulltext/biomechanical-evaluation-of-short-implants-for-prostheses-review-article.ID.000239.php To Know More About Open Access Journal of Biomedical Science Please Visit: Biomedscis Are Click on:   https://Biomedscis.Com/

Dancing with Glia: The Role of Astrocytes, Microglia and Oligodendrocytes and their Relation with Neurons in Neuroinflammation and Aging by María José Bellini* in Open Access Journal of Biomedical Science (OAJBS) This review provides an original overview of glial cells functions on the central nervous system and their relationship with neuroinflammation. We decided to correlate astrocytes, microglia and oligodendrocytes functions with neurons interplay, and refer it to Tango genre and dance. Furthermore, this revision summarizes studies that support the roles of glial cells in neuroinflammation under different conditions, such as aging and main neurodegenerative diseases in particular, Parkinson’s Disease and Alzheimer’s Disease. https://biomedscis.com/fulltext/dancing-with-glia-the-role-of-astrocytes-microglia-and-oligodendrocytes-and-their-relation-with-neurons-in-neuroinflammation-and-aging.ID.000238.php To Know More About Open Access Journal of Biomedical Science Please

Where are we Standing with Childhood Cancer in Middle- and Low-Income Countries?: OAJBS Publishers

Where are we Standing with Childhood Cancer in Middle- and Low-Income Countries? by Roberto Rivera-Luna* in Open Access Journal of Biomedical Science (OAJBS)   Childhood cancer worldwide constitutes an ever-growing health problem. It is estimated every year, between 175,000 and 250,000 children will be diagnosed with cancer throughout the world. However, these numbers may well be underestimations given the lack or substandard cancer registries especially in the middle- and low-income countries (MLIC). Nearly 80 to 90% of these cases are seen in MLIC, where overall survival is close to 50%. Three fourths of global childhood cancer-related deaths happen in resource-limited countries [1]. https://biomedscis.com/fulltext/where-are-we-standing-with-childhood-cancer-in-middle-and-low-income-countries.ID.000237.php  To Know More About Open Access Journal of Biomedical Science Please Visit: Biomedscis Are Click on:   https://Biomedscis.Com/
